Hypothermia
Hypothermia occurs when the body temperature drops, and the body reduces blood flow to the skin. You begin to shiver to increase heat production, but there are limits to what your body can handle, and after a while, pulse, blood pressure, and breathing decrease. It is then crucial that you receive care with warm drinks and, of course, assistance in raising your body temperature. Ferno Norden has 40 years of experience in products designed for hypothermia patients in harsh environments at sea and in the Arctic climate. Here you can read more about our evacuation products such as the Arctic Saana for rapid relocation and our poncho for hypothermia, as well as rescue blankets and wraps for children and adults that provide protection and warmth in hypothermic conditions.
